Johnson & Wales University Selects Lynch Arena as New Home for Men’s and Women’s Hockey Programs

Pawtucket, RI – June 11, 2025 — Johnson & Wales University (JWU) is proud to announce a new partnership with the City of Pawtucket and Lynch Arena, officially naming Lynch Arena as the new home for the university’s men’s and women’s hockey programs for the next five years.

Beginning with the 2025–2026 season, both Wildcat teams will host their home games and practices at Lynch Arena, a facility known for its community presence, modern amenities, and strong support for local athletics. This move marks a significant step forward in the university’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the student-athlete experience and fostering greater community engagement through sports.

Lynch Arena, located in the heart of Pawtucket, has long served as a hub for Rhode Island hockey and youth development programs. The collaboration with Johnson & Wales brings collegiate-level competition to the venue and is expected to boost local interest and attendance, benefiting the city and its surrounding businesses.

EASTLAND SPORTS CAMPUS STATEMENT ON CHARLOTTE CITY COUNCIL AND CHARLOTTE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT’S APPROVAL OF PROJECT FUNDING

Charlotte, NC – September 10, 2024 – The Eastland Sports Campus team, comprised of Charlotte Soccer Academy, Bolton-Ivory-Cantey LLC, Southern Entertainment, and Edge Sports Global, is thrilled with the Charlotte City Council and Charlotte Economic Development’s approval of funding for the long-awaited athletic development at the former Eastland Mall site. This landmark project, which blends indoor and outdoor athletics, is set to provide significant local benefits and robust economic development to the area, further enhancing the growth of Eastland and the Charlotte community as a whole for decades to come.

A special thank you goes to the residents of the City of Charlotte, whose support and perseverance over the years have been instrumental in bringing this project to fruition. This development is a testament to the community’s strength and resilience, and collectively, we are proud to bring this project to life for the community.
